Collaborative Law
What is Collaborative Law?
Collaborative law is a resolution process where parties work together with their lawyers to find solutions. This process promotes the development of cooperative and positive relationships beyond separation, so that families can move forward together, even though the relationship has ended. The parties negotiate towards resolution in good faith during a series of four-way meetings. The parties may utilize neutral third-party professionals, such as a family professional and/or a financial professional to assist them in resolving the matter. The collaborative law process can be a more efficient and cost-effective means of resolving the issues than the traditional court process.
SBS Lawyers has several lawyers who are trained to provide Collaborative Family Law services. If you are interested in collaborative law, schedule a consultation with a member of one of our experienced lawyers.
