Sandra recognizes that separation, divorce, and involvement with child welfare agencies is stressful for clients, and she is dedicated to finding solutions that work best for each client and their children. Her practical but compassionate approach provides clients with the information they need to make informed, realistic, and cost-effective decisions.
Sandra practices Family Law exclusively and has extensive experience representing the Children’s Aid Society, parents and children in child welfare matters. Sandra is also an agent for the Children’s Lawyer. Sandra is a member of the Durham Region Collaborative Practice Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals; the Durham Region Lawyers’ Association; and The Ontario Association of Child Protection Lawyers. Sandra is currently on the steering committee of Raising Resilient Families, a research study conducted by Durham College.
Sandra graduated from the University of Toronto in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts and completed an Honours Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor in 1983. She received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa in 1987 and has been practicing family law for over 30 years.
